Frost is a sound cue management system and sound cue output device created specifically
for the live theatre. You, as a sound designer, may have encountered a few problems
in your past experiences. How can you create a sound design that is reproducible
from performance to performance? Those of us who use CD players or other audio
output devices may have a difficult time adjusting sliders and dials on the soundboard.
A millimeter difference can make the largest change. We simply cannot produce the exact
same show from night to night. Using any common computer, Frost is designed to easily
and intuitively provide reproducibility in your design so that you can concetrate on
your art, rather than the many things that can go wrong with technology.
Whether you are designing sound for high school, collegiate, or professional theatre,
Frost is a program that will not only allow you to perfect your designs, but simplify
the operation for the sound board operator as well. This software not only mimics the
the functionallity of a sound board/CD player system, but also the interface. Your
operator will feel comftorable either pressing a button and letting the computer do
all the work, or taking control by adjusting the sliders and dials on the screen.

Frost's Output Terminal is the core of the software. It is the section that mimics the
sound board and up to twenty six CD players. It is designed to look, feel, and act
like what you already know, providing a very intuitive environment. Frost splits up
its "Players" into Outputs, two players per Output. Each Output then has its own
seperate set of sliders, it's own set of button controls (Go, Hold, Stop), and its
own list of Cues (specified by you). Press "Go" to make Frost playback exactly what
you want, or use the sliders and buttons to handle changes in live theatre, when
exactly what you need isn't quite what you had planned.

Frost is also a Sound CUe Manager. This simply means that Frost can easily help you organize
and distinguish between Cues. Provide only the essential information for a simple show,
or provide script details, notes, and other information to help you manage larger designs;
whichver you find necessary.
